Adhesive dentistry is an exclusive term for those procedures known as “bonding”. This might refer to pit and fissure sealants, bonded, tooth-colored fillings, veneers, Maryland bridges, and interior cores to strengthen teeth. Even crowns and bridges can be bonded on teeth. This adhesive ability has changed dentistry tremendously. It has allowed dentists to become very conservative and to be able to protect the structure of teeth rather than remove it.
