COVID-19 Patient Updates:
Dr. Selby and his team hope you have weathered the last eight weeks as well as possible and are in good health. Returning to our usual routines will certainly make evrybody feel better and get us back on the road to normalcy. While many things have changed, one thing that remains the same: our commitment to your safety.
Our commitment to having a clean and safe environment for us to work in, and for you to receive your dental care has always been a high priority. Setting the bar above what is required of The American Dental Association (ADA), the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) has always been our aim. Yes we will wipe door handles, and we do use hospital disinfectants, always washing our hands and sanitizing rooms and equipment, but I wanted to make you aware that the office has been professionally sanitized by Restoration 1 of Tampa Bay. A halo type fogger among other chemicals were used to completely sanitize the office. You will notice that there are no magazines or any touchable items that could act as sources of cross contamination. We have also added a HEPA filtration system that services the entire office and filters out odors, dust, pollen, and yes even viruses. We have done this for your health and for ours. Our response to COVID 19 is comprehensive and meticulous.
We have worked diligently to implement new protocols into the practice to protect you all. That includes upgrading our personal proactive equipment and the manner in which we deliver our dental services. We want you to feel confident that you will be able to receive the same exceptional care that you were accustomed to in a very safe environment.
To all my new and returning patients,
This will represent the new normal for patient check in:
1 – All patients will be screened at their car or at our front door, and will be asked these 4 questions
A – Have you traveled out of the state or internationally in the last 14 days?
B – Have you been in contact with anyone from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, California, or Louisiana in the last 14 days?
C – Have you been in contact with anyone that has had COVID -19 symptoms, is under investigation for COVID -19, or that has tested positive for COVID-19?
D – Have you had any symptoms of COVID -19 such as fever, coughing, shortness of breath, or loss of taste?
2 – Your temperature will be taken with a non-touch infrared instrument.
3 – At your appointment time, you will be asked to come in.
4 – Social Distancing will allow only 3 patients at a time in our waiting area.
5 – Hand sanitizer in available in the waiting area.
6 – Personal protective equipment includes: Level 3 surgical mask, and N95 mask when available, up graded eye protection, face shields, and surgical gowns.
Additionally, we will be seeing a lower volume of patients and restructuring our schedule to all for proper social distancing. Therefore, appointment availability may be limited. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, and we thank you in advance for patience and understanding as we work conscientiously towards getting all of our patient’s dental care back on track in a timely manner.
Expect a phone call from us very soon if your appointment was previously postponed. If you choose to call us, your phone call may go to voicemail, as we are still ramping up our administrative schedule as of this email, but we will return your call as soon as possible.
We are so excited to see each and every one of you, and are truly thankful you have chosen our office!
